Every course includes English lessons — between 12 and 20 hours a week, stated on each course page — along with accommodation, meals, course materials, an end-of-course certificate, and the organised activities and excursions in the itinerary. Airport transfers are included on most courses. Inclusions differ from course to course, so the course page lists exactly what its price covers and what it does not.

Age limits vary by course and are shown on each course page. Our courses in the UK and Toronto start at age 9, and our courses in every other destination at 12. General English and our language courses are for students aged 16 and over.

Study holidays run from one to four weeks. Our short cultural trips are five or seven days, and General English is booked by the week. The length of each course is shown on its own page.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and length of stay. EU citizens do not currently need a visa for short stays. Students from other countries may need a Standard Visitor Visa or Short-term Study Visa. We provide invitation letters and support documentation for visa applications.

We offer three accommodation types: Host Family (most popular - live with a local family), Student Residence (independent living with other students), and Hotel (for those preferring more privacy). Host families are personally selected by our directors.

The deposit is not refundable. If you cancel more than four weeks (28 days) before the course starts, half of the balance you have paid is refunded; within 28 days of the start, the balance is not refundable. Where you paid by card, the card processing fee is retained by the payment provider. The full schedule is in our terms and conditions, and we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

You can pay by credit or debit card, or by bank transfer. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. A deposit secures the place and the balance is due before the course starts; your own dates are shown on your payment page and in the emails we send you. Bank transfer details, and the reference to quote, are on your invoice.

Tell us in writing as soon as you can. What we retain depends on how far ahead you cancel — the schedule is in our refund policy above and in our terms and conditions. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

On most courses, yes — return airport transfers are included, and a member of our team meets students on arrival. Each course page lists whether transfers are included in its price. Send us the flight details once they are booked.

Tell us about any medical condition, allergy or medication when you apply, so the people looking after your child know before they arrive. Every student must have travel insurance. Our staff are contactable 24 hours a day; if a student needs medical attention we arrange it and contact parents straight away.

Lessons are taught entirely in English, with our highly-qualified and experienced teachers. Our facilities are modern and located in the heart of the city. Class sizes are small, (15) and students are placed by level after a short placement test before the start of the course.

For our Football and Rugby Academy courses, all training equipment is provided, but students are expected to bring appropriate shoes and sports clothing for the entire course.
